Ann F. Smith Brumfield, 83, passed away May 16, 2013, in North Vernon.
She was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Franklin County to Frank and Oletta (Harsh) Throckmorton. Ann spent many years in the Buena Vista area and had also lived in Greenfield later in life. She attended Clarksburg schools. She married Edgar W. Smith July 23, 1969; he preceded her in death in 2007. She married Michael L. Brumfield April 13, 2010; he survives.
Ann was a member of Buena Vista Christian Church, former member of the OES in Greensburg and the Alph Omicron Alpha Sorority. She enjoyed painting and loved to work in her garden.
Besides her husband, Michael, of North Vernon, Ann is survived by sons, Larry A. and wife Sue Smith of Washington, Mo. and Robert F. and wife Kim Smith of Marietta, Calif.; a brother, Lowell “Tom” Throckmorton of Buena Vista; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive, Bryan and wife Roxanne Throckmorton and Valerie and husband John Fields are among them. She is also survived by two step children.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and a brother, Edward Throckmorton.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 20, at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, where friends are welcome to visit from 10 a.m. until time of service. John Johnson will preside and burial will be in Clarksburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Buena Vista Christian Church or Our Hospice of Jennings County.
