RUSHVILLE — Raymond E. Ficklin, 74, of Homer, passed away Aug. 20, 2013 in Indianapolis.
Raymond was born March 29, 1939 in St. Paul to the late Vern and Ruth (Whitham) Ficklin.
He had lived in Homer for the last 10 years and lived in Greenwood prior to that. Raymond served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of Homer Christian Union Church. Raymond retired from Conrail after 20 years of service.
Raymond leaves behind a son, Kevin Ficklin of Fishers; two half-brothers, Pete Robbins of Indianapolis and Donald Ficklin; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and his son, Michael Ray Ficklin.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Rev. Roger Abraham will preside. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 11 a.m. until the time of service that same day. Burial will follow in Rushville East Hill Cemetery. Rush county Honor Guard will perform military rites at the graveside.
