Rodger Glenn Blankenship of Rushville suddenly departed his earthly life Monday, Feb. 23, 2013.
Rodger was born Aug. 14, 1954 in Hammond to Noah and Lillian (Bulow) Blankenship. After graduating from high school, Rodger served in the US Navy from 1973 to 1976. Rodger was most recently a driver for Ride Rush in Rushville.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Benny of Hammond; daughters, Tasha and husband Kevin Tomlinson of Hammond and Dusty and husband Kyle Moore of Lake Station; brothers, Noah and wife Rhonda of South Bend, Richard and wife Ruth of Hobart and Robert of Texas; 12 grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
A son, Sir Rodger Glenn I, preceded him in death, along with his parents.
Roger requested that his body be donated to the I.U. anatomical program.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Rodger will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
