RUSHVILLE — Alan King, 80, of Carthage, passed away Sept. 4, 2013 at his home in Carthage.
He was born June 9, 1933 in Rochester to William H. and Beatrice L. (McGinnis) King.
Alan was a 1951 graduate of Southside Fort Wayne High School. He was a US Army veteran. Alan was a certified welder and spent many years in Montana and Alaska building bridges. He was a member of the Carpenters Union in both Montana and Alaska. Alan had lived in Carthage since 2003.
He is survived by his daughters, Britt King of Carthage and Inger King of Houston, Texas; a brother, Joseph and wife Elaine King of Fort Wayne; a sister, Barbara King of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Lars.
There will be no public service.
