Harold G. Barley, 92, of Summitville, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, in the Alexandria Care Center after an extended illness.
Harold was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Weirton, W.Va., the son of Andrew and Dorothy P. (Barley) Winters. On July 12, 1942, he married Betty (Winslow) Barley.
Harold was retired from Fisher Body in Marion. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Harold’s passion was his family, gardening and farming.
Surviving are his three daughters, Sherry L. Campbell of Summitville, Suzanne (Jerry) Cox of Rushville and Kathryn Barnhart of Carmel; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, and a grandson, Jeff Stackhouse.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Harold’s life at 11 a.m. April 20, 2013, in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria, with Jerry Lowery as Celebrant. Interment of remains will follow.
