Neoma B. Parker, 93, a former Rushville resident passed away May 26, 2014 in Georgia. Neoma was born in Fayette County on July 1, 1920 to the late Otto and Alma (Jones) Morris. She lived most of her life in Glenwood and Rushville, moving to Georgia in March 2008.
She was a 1937 graduate of Rushville High School. Neoma married Ray J. Parker on Nov. 24, 1965 and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1979. Noema worked as a loan officer for Rush County National Bank from 1960-81. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church, active in the Ladies Auxiliary at the church and active in the Republican Party.
Neoma leaves behind a son, Morris Lewark and wife Verna of Columbus, Georgia; stepson, Richard Cameron and wife Diana of Rushville; step daughter, Jane and husband Ron Ailes of Rushville; 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Neoma was preceded in death by a son, James Lewark; step son, Bill Cameron; four brothers; six sisters; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Friends are welcome to visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the mortuary the same day. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
