Rosemary Marie Abrams Scott, 66, passed away on April 26, 2014 at her home.
Rosemary was born on July 26, 1947 in Cloverbottom, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late Dora and Rosa Abrams of Rush County.
She was the wife of Bill Scott. They were married Feb. 3, 1967. She is survived by her husband and daughters, Betsy (Nathan Nigh) Walls of Richland and Michelle Morris of Milroy. She is grandmother to Adderine Morris, Hayden Walls and Isabelle Morris. She graduated from Manila High School in 1965 and retired from Harcourt Industries after many years of service.
Rosemary was a member of Tri Kappa – Phi Chapter, Home Ec. – Learning Lassies, Literary Research Club, Wake Riders Boat Club and various card clubs through the years. Rosemary was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and valued her time with family. Additionally, she enjoyed reading, gardening, dancing, camping and attending horse racing events.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dora (1986) and Rosa Abrams (1998), her brother Everett “Jr” Abrams (1976) and her father and mother-in-law Jim (2002) and Betty Scott (2007).
In addition to her husband, daughters and grandchild she leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; brother, Ronald Abrams (wife Bonnie) of Homer; sisters, Hazel Tackett of Milroy and Joyce Reid (husband Leroy) of Indianapolis; brother-in-laws Fred Scott (wife Barbara) of Indianapolis and Sam Scott (wife Becki) of Waldron; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Todd Funeral Centere & Crematory in Rushville, Sandy Gwinnup officiating.
Friends and relatives are invited and may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Todd Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetic Association, American Heart Association, and Hospice or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
