Sheila Schlechty, 67, most recently of Louisville, Ky., passed away Nov. 2, 2012.
Sheila was born Dec. 14, 1944 in Rushville to John and Verlia (Proffitt) Moore.
She committed her life to her family and was always there for them when they needed her most. Her spark and enthusiasm will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Sheila has one daughter, Jennifer Schlechty of Louisville, Ky.; a step daughter, Krista Flannigan of Idaho Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren, Daniel Rademaker of Louisville, Ky. and Lily Flannigan of Idaho Springs, Colo. In addition, she leaves behind her husband of 45 years, Phillip Schlechty; her mother and father, Verlia Moore and John Moore of Rushville; and two brothers, Mark and Jeff Moore.
Though she had lived in several different places, her place in the world has always been defined by her experiences in Rushville, where she grew up and where she had a strong extended family to nurture her. It is for this reason that she requested that when the time came she would like to be buried with her family in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery. This request will be honored Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral commencing at 1 p.m. at Moster Mortuary, Rushville.
