BENTONVILLE — Faye Baker, 93, of Bentonville passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at Glen Oakes Health Campus in New Castle. She was born in Bentonville on Oct. 2, 1919, to Glenn T. and Catherine (Miller) Walters.

A lifelong resident of the Bentonville community, Faye graduated from high school there with the class of 1937. She was married to William L. “Bill” Baker in Bentonville on Aug. 9, 1953.

She worked as a teller at Bentonville State Bank for many years and retired from Stant Manufacturing in Connersville.

Faye was a longtime member of the Bentonville Christian Church where she also served as treasurer and was a charter member of the Bentonville Fire Department Women’s Auxilliary whom she enjoyed making arts and crafts for. Faye was a loving mother and grandmother, she loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Steve (Vicki) Baker of Spiceland; two granddaughters, Amanda (David) Noah of Greensburg, Stephanie Baker of Spiceland; and a great grandson, Brennan Noah.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 4, 2010; three sisters, Dorothy Judy on Sept. 7, 2001, Josephine “Jody” Petersen on May 24, 1980, Wilma Schuler on July 9, 1988; a brother, Elmer “Shorty” Walters on Dec. 22, 1976.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Bentonville Christian Church. Don Miller, the church minister, will officiate. Burial will follow at Bentonville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.
