Michael L. Moore, 61, a longtime Rushville resident, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2013, at his home.
He was born Dec. 6, 1951, in Shelbyville to Wilbur and Marjorie (Rhoades) Moore.
Mike was a 1971 graduate of Rushville High School. He had lived in Rushville for 40 years. Mike worked for Stant Manufacturing in Connersville for nearly 30 years. He had worked at Crate and Pallate in Fountaintown for the last 10 years. Mike adored his grandkids. He loved iced tea and his dog, Taco.
Survivors include a son, Chad Allen (and wife Christy) Moore of Greensburg; a daugher, Amanda (and husband Jamie) Schiff of Greensburg; brothers, Robert (and wife Debbie) Moore and Max Moore (and companion Becky Teegarden), all of Rushville; sisters, Janet Egielske, Beverly Whittaker, Linda (and husband Rodney) Knarr, Deb “Buckwheat” Carlton and Diane (and husband Tom) Carlton, all of Rushville; grandkids, Savanna Allen, Alexis McCord, Austin Schiff, Ethan and Addison Moore.
Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Ruth Lee and Norma Lee; brother, Sonny Moore; and infant brother, Harold Moore.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Pastor Ryan Balser presiding. Friends are welcome to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
