Franklin D. Hensley, 73, of Rushville, passed away March 20, 2013, in Rushville.
He was born Dec. 7, 1939, in Liberty, to Melvin and Elizabeth (Hampton) Hensley. Frank spent his early life in Liberty. He had lived in Rushville since 1958. He married Alice M. Hornaday April 30, 1966; she survives.
Frank owned and operated Hensley Construction from 1978 to 2006. He was a member of the Rushville Eagles Lodge, American Legion Post #150 and the Muskrats of Rush County.
In addition to his wife, Alice, of Rushville, Frank is survived by his daughter, Debbie and husband Patrick Phares of Rushville; sons, Chad and wife Emily Hensley, Frank Jr. and wife Penny Hensley and Charles Robert Hensley, all of Rushville; a brother, Melvin Leonard Hensley of Rushville; sisters, Carol and husband Tom Corum and Zora Gabbard, both of Richmond, grandchildren, Mark Andrew Love, Gavin, Dylan, Dustin and Lindsey Hensley; step grandson, Clayton Conover; and great-grandson, Isaiah.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles; and sisters, Sally, Georgia and Mary Rose.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 25 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, where friends are welcome to visit from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday. Burial will be in Rushville East Hill Cemetery. Darryl Cooper will preside.
