Eva Flint Eades, 81, of Madison, entered this life Nov. 13, 1931 in Jefferson County.
She was the loving daughter of the late Earl L. and Ruth Rea Flint. She was raised in Jefferson County and was a graduate of Central High School on Ryker’s Ridge. Eva was united in marriage Feb. 14, 1954 at the Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church to Harry Robert Eades. This happy union was blessed with two daughters, Karen and Linda. Eva spent most of her life in Canaan raising her family and devoting much time to her community and her church. She worked as a teacher’s aide and cook at the former Canaan Elementary School, retiring in 1976. She was a faithful member of Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church and had served on the pastoral relations committee for many years. Eva was a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved gospel music and being with her family. After the death of her husband she remained in Canaan until her health forced her to move to Madison and resided at the Waters of Clifty Falls. Eva died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison.
Eva will be missed by her loving daughters: Karen Harden Todd and her husband, Mark of Bedford, Ky., Linda Daubenspeck and her husband, Larry of Rushville; her grandchildren, Danny Harden and his wife, Barbara, Jimmy Harden and his wife, Amanda, Michael Daubenspeck and his wife, Ashley, Joseph Daubenspeck, Sarah Daubenspeck, Mark Todd Jr. and Kristen Todd Schreiner and her husband, Ray; her great-grandchildren, Damon, William, McKinley, Keenan, Rylan, Roxie Jo, Mason and Lucas; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl L. and Ruth Rea Flint; her husband, Harry Robert Eades (died, Aug. 25, 1997); her sister, Norma Baker (died Aug. 10, 2000); her son-in-law, The Rev. Ricky E. Harden (died, June 19, 1995); her granddaughter, Laura Ruth Daubenspeck (died July 10, 1991).
