Sarah Lou (Six) Miller, 89, a long time Rush County resident, passed away July 1, 2014 in Oregon City, Oregon. Sarah was born May 16, 1925 in Rush County to Russell and Emma (Posey) Six. She was a 1943 graduate of Arlington High School. She married Melvin E. Miller on May 12, 1974 and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1997.
Sarah worked for Schnadig Corporation in the cutting department for 20 years. She also worked as a bookkeeper 20 years for Miller Sweeper Shop. She was a past member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and currently a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Rushville Eagles Ladies Auxillary and was their first chaplain.
She is survived by a son, Rev. Edward "Eddie" Springman of Beaverton, OR; daughter, Donna and husband James West of Harker Heights, Texas; grandchildren, Aimee Brown, Daniele Vincent and Michael West; and five great grandchildren. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Edward and James Six; and sister, Loretta Six.
Graveside services will be held in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
