Beverly Yvonne (Hauser) Carter, 67, of Rushville, passed away peacefully with family by her side, June 20, 2014.
She was born April 28, 1947 in Linton, to the late Gene and Lois Hauser. Yvonne graduated from Center Grove High School in 1965. She retired from the Indiana Judicial Center after working for the State of Indiana for 35 years. She was a very active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rushville. She grew up and raised her daughters as a devoted member of Smith Valley United Methodist Church.
She was a proud member of the Rushville associate chapter of Tri Kappa, serving as past president and a state province officer while a member of the Center Grove chapter. Yvonne enjoyed her friends in Hint Hunters Home Ec Club and her online “Words with Friends Praying Partners." She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and pseudo-grandchildren, reading, knitting and most of all laughing with lifelong friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all.
Survivors include her daughters, Denise (David) Payne of Rushville and Leslie (Michael) Kidwell of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Lauryn and Carter Payne, Charles and Eva Kidwell.
Also surviving are her stepmother, Marjie Hauser of Morgantown; half brother, Clinton B. Hauser of Camden, Tennessee; step-sisters, Marsha (Phil) Wilson of Franklin, Mary (Roger) Lawrence and Martha (Kevin) McIntosh all of Morgantown; step-brothers, Bruce Hearn of San Jose, California and Tim Hearn of Columbus and many other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Yvette Hauser.
A Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Pastor Jan Dimick will officiate. The family will hold private burial services at a later date.
