RUSHVILLE — Charlotte E. Foster, 94, of Cambridge City, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville.
A daughter of the late Walter Lon and Junette (Elliott) Coleman, Charlotte was born Aug. 22, 1919 in Cambridge City. Formerly of the Milroy area, Charlotte had been employed at the Milroy Canning Factory. A homemaker, Charlotte was a loving mother, grandmother and member of the Non-Denominational Christian Church.
Survivors include four children, Betty Foster of Cambridge City, Patricia Wharton of Richmond, Teresa Tieman of Spring Lake, N.C., and Daniel Foster of Dublin; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie A. Foster, Oct. 11, 1981; two sons, Larry Williams and Leslie Foster II; three sisters, Laurestine Mattix, Margaret Burris and Hazel Mashino.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastors Dennis Kinnan and Scott Porter will officiate. Burial and committal services will follow at 1 p.m. at Layton Cemetery, located three miles south of Milroy in Rush County on CR 100 W. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
