Linda E. Boles, 72, of Shelbyville passed away Nov. 21, 2012, in Shelbyville.
She was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Decatur Country to the late Henry T. and Margaret Jane (Robertson) McKay.
She married Perry “Junior” Boles on Nov. 2, 1958, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2001.
She attended Shelbyville High School. Linda was employed with Overhead Door Corporation in Shelbyville for 19 years as an assembly line worker before retiring.
She was a lifelong Shelby County resident. She enjoyed worshiping at home and spending time with family.
Survivors include daughter, Mrs. Donald (Penny) Jones of Shelbyville; sons, Perry D. (Andrea) Boles of Rushville, Phillip E. Boles of Shelbyville, Scotty L. (Kelly) Boles of Shelbyville and Russell A. (Sheryl Burdine) Boles of St. Paul; step-daughter, Mrs. Norman (Diana L.) Jones of Fairland; sister, Letha Hall of Rushville; sisters-in-law, Barbara Walton of Shelby County and Fran McKay of Chicago; friend and neighbor, Jodie Moore of Shelbyville; 25 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Perry Boles, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Geral Boles; four brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory in Shelbyville with Dr. Robert Burgbacher officiating. Burial will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory.
