Stephen B. Phillips, 65, of Rushville, passed away suddenly, Dec. 5, 2013 in Greensburg. He was born May 2, 1948 in Rushville to Otto Barge "Pete" Phillips and Dovie (Ward) Bulmer. He was a 1965 graduate of New Salem High School. He married Linda Hunter on July 12, 1974.
Steve was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran. He worked 26 years at D & M and 11 years at Klosterman Bakery. Steve was a member of the Andersonville Masonic Lodge #96 F&AM. He loved the outdoors and had a passion for cars.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of Andersonville; sons, Jason Phillips and Brandy of Greensburg and David and wife Ruth Phillips of Rushville; a daughter, Jennifer Phillips and Angie of Greensburg; step-brothers, Ron and wife Betty Bulmer and Monty Bulmer; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Friends are welcome to visit Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. Rev. Bob Ward will preside and burial will be in the Laurel North Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Rush County Veteran's Honor Guard.
