RUSHVILLE — Luella Marie Stevens, 91, a longtime New Salem resident passed away Sunday Feb. 3, 2013, in New Castle. She was born May 1, 1921, in Rush County to the late Elmer & Mae (Linville) Kile.
Luella married Lloyd Stevens on Jan. 11, 1938, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2010. She was a homemaker and a member of New Salem United Methodist Church and a past member of the Eastern Star society.
She leaves behind son, Larry Marlin Stevens and wife Donna of Rushville; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and two step-great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband Lloyd, Luella was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Stevens, and a sister, Hazel Kile.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Friends are welcome to visit from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fisher-Richland Cemetery following the service.
