---- — David Hunter Maxwell, 80, resident of Golden Living Center, Muncie, passed away Monday at the center.

He was born in Glenellen, Ill., Nov. 20, 1932, the son of Clyde and Edna Hunter Maxwell. He was a graduate of Glenellen High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He served as a truck driver for Reith Riley for many years and was a member of the American Legion of Rushville and Hinkley Lodge, F & AM in Minnesota.

Survivors are his wife, Helen Elaine of Yorktown; four children, Joan Norris of Burston, Calif., Shelly Lewis (Todd) of Daleville, Nicole Maxwell (Chris) of Madison, Wis., and Clyde Maxwell (Julie) of Rushville; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Gene Weisbrock of Coloma, Wis., and Patricia Welbourne (Warren) of Brook Park, Minn.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Maxwell; his parents; one great grandchild; and two brothers, Robert and John.

A Gathering of friends will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Raleigh Christian Church, 4019 East 900 N, Rushville, with a Celebration of Life memorial service at 3 p.m. at the church with Rev. Tony Augsburger officiating.
