Kathleen O. McJunkin, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away at her home Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012.
She was born May 28, 1931 in Rush County to Russell and Della (Hufferd) Orme. Kathleen was a 1949 graduate of Arlington High School.
She spent her early life in Rush County. Kathleen married Park A. McJunkin Jan. 1, 1954 and they moved to New York, living there until 1961. They resided in New Jersey from 1961 to 1997 and then moved to Indianapolis. Park passed away Sept. 5, 2005. Kathleen was executive secretary to the Vice President of Research & Development for International Flavors & Fragrances in New Jersey, working there 22 years. She retired in 1997. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. Kathleen enjoyed sewing and cooking. She adored her grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas and Arianna Zahos.
Also surviving is a son, M. Deryl Souder of Carthage; a daughter, Dr. Kathleen and husband Dr. Peter Zahos of Harrington Park, N.J.; sisters, Norene Martin of Indianapolis and Rosemarie Gordon of Rushville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Glenn Russell Orme, and sisters, Berniece Gordon and Margery Drake.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Rush County. Dr. Jim Riley will preside.
