Sheila Mae VanNatta, 51, a lifelong Rush County resident passed away Feb. 8, 2014. Sheila was born in New Castle on Sept. 14, 1962 to Nova Bell. Sheila was a 1981 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School and later attended IUPUI. Sheila married Matthew C. VanNatta on Feb. 21, 1981 and he survives.
She worked for various companies including Federal Express in Muncie for 10 years. Sheila was a master gardener and the owner of Daylily Connection since 2004. Sheila was a member of Raleigh Christian Church, several daylily organizations and a Rush County Reserve Deputy.
In addition to her mother Nova (Bell) Nation and husband Matthew, Sheila leaves behind a son, Colt VanNatta and wife Amber of Fayette County; brother Ronnie Nation of New Castle; and grandson Hoyt VanNatta.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Tony Augsburger will preside. Friends are welcome to visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at the mortuary. Burial will be in Raleigh Zion cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Clifton Memorial Fund or the RN Club Scholarship Fund, both through the Rush County Community Foundation.
