Otto Hineman, 104, of Rush County, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Rush Memorial Hospital,
Otto was born in Switz City on Sept. 26, 1909, a son of the late Mary F (Quimby) and James H Hineman.
He worked as a teacher, coach, farmer and principal, receiving his Masters Degree from Ball State in 1966. He was a member of Milroy Christian Church, Deacon-Emeritus.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Martin of Greensburg and Kay Hineman of Rushville; two sons, Harold, husband of Janet Hineman, of Stafford, Va. and Mark, husband of Maggie Hineman, of Middletown; four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. He was the widower of Mable E (Dierdorf) Hineman, who he married Oct. 9, 1937. She preceded him in death March 24, 2003. He was also preceded in death by brothers Ralph, Carl and Harry Hineman; sisters, Henrietta and Fae Erzinger; son-in-law Richard R. Martin; granddaughter Barb; and son-in law Don Horan.
Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Friday at Milroy Christian Church, Milroy with Rev. Ron Simbro officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Milroy Christian Church. Burial will follow in Eastbrook Cemetery, Milroy.
