Willie C. Thompson, 85, formerly of Knightstown, died Sept. 22, 2009.

Born March 7, 1924 in Byrdstown, Tenn., she was the daughter of Willis and Rebecca (Mullens) Lee, both deceased.

Mrs. Thompson and her husband owned and operated Thompson Family Restaurant in Knightstown for 20 years. She was also a member of Knightstown Church of God.

Survivors include son, Dallas (Saundra) Thompson of Knightstown; daughters, Phyllis (Whitey) Roland of Spiceland and Bonnie Mueller (and companion, Dave Wooldridge) of Lewisville; grandchildren, Diana (Al) Arellano, Linda (Jeff) Lane, Brenda (Jason) Greene, Lisa (Tony) Butler, Abby (Ryan) Davis, Kyly Roland (and fiancé, Dave Cline) Keitha (Barry) Miller; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Lewis Reed (Oradean) Lee of Knightstown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett E. Thompson, and 12 brothers and sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Mark Herbkersman officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
