Born Sept. 18, 1932 in Rushville, he was the son of “Fats” and Mary (Cowger) Worland, both deceased. Mr. Worland was a lifelong Rushville resident. A crane operator and U.S. Navy veteran, he was a 1948 graduate of Rushville High School and was a member of the VFW. Survivors include daughter, Tammy (Scott) Vawter of Rushville; two grandsons; and special friends Duane and Sonja Alexander of Dunreith. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be at noon Tuesday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville. Burial will follow in Arlington East Hill Cemetery and will include a graveside military service. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to Rush County Relay for Life.
