RUSHVILLE — The RCHS Choirs will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Laughlin Center for the Performing Arts.

The concert is free and the public is invited to attend. Come out and enjoy the music of RCHS’s five main choirs Thursday.

RCHS A Cappella Choir

Treble Choir

Features sophomore girls and is a continuation of Freshman Girls’ Choir which focuses more on SSAA music while singing a cappella and in mixed formations.

Men’s Choir

Men’s Choir is an ensemble open to all interested freshman and sophomore boys which performs a repertoire of varying styles and time periods.

Freshman Girls’ Choir

These five choirs are under the direction of Paul Grizzard.

Grizzard is in his seventh year as choir director at RCHS. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Music Performance from Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. He completed his Music Education Licensure Track at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, and is now currently working on his Masters in Secondary Education from Ball State University.

Grizzard is excited and honored to be part of the strong choral tradition here in Rush County.
