Due to Labor Day falling on the first Monday of September, the Gleaners’ mobile food bank will be on the Main Street Christian Church parking lot the second Monday in September (the 9th). The mobile food pantry will hand out food from 4 to 6 p.m. or until the food runs out.
The Rush County Genealogical Society will hold their monthly meeting at 11 a.m., Sept. 14 at the Rushville Elks Lodge.
Rush County Historian Eleanor Arnold will be present a program on the history of East Hill Cemetery.
The public is invited.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has reopened US 52 after a four-month closure.
A 3-mile section of the highway southeast of Rushville reopened to traffic Tuesday.
The final part of the project was a culvert replacement on a tributary feeding the Little Flat Rock River. Earlier, two 55-foot bridges were replaced.
