Library closed Monday
The Rushville Public Library will be closed on Monday in observation of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The library board of trustees will still hold its regular monthly board meeting at 6 p.m. with the library’s board of finance meeting at 5:45 p.m. in the library meeting room.
Monday trash pick-up change
Due to Monday being Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the city of Rushville Street Department will not be picking up trash on Monday. Monday’s trash will be picked up on Tuesday.

• The Boys and Girls Club of Rush County will host a dance for elementary school students from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $3. DJ Kevin Green will provide entertainment. Proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Rush County.
• Arlington Elementary PTO will be hosting a pancake breakfast on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Arlington Elementary Cafeteria from 8 to 11 a.m. Meal will include pancakes, sausage gravy, biscuits and juice or coffee. Cost is $5 per meal. For more information, contact Alisha Montgomery at 765-561-3436.
• National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association, Indiana Chapter 0813, has a monthly meeting at 10 a.m., on the third Tuesday of each month at the Ponderosa Steakhouse, corner of North Lincoln St. and Fourth St., Greensburg. Optional lunch afterward. We have guest speakers on a variety of topics, interesting programs, and items discussed. Come meet your current and retired Federal Employee comrades. • The Relay for Life for Rush County will hold a committee meeting at 6 p.m. in the council champbers and a team captain meeting at 7 p.m. in the council chambers.
