What to do with ...

Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — Do you have household items that you don’t want to keep, but they are not suitable for the dumpster or a garage sale?  What do you do with the five sets of dishes that have accumulated in your family? What about the sets of silver that no one wants to polish? Learn about the process of liquidating personal property by attending a presentation by Nancy Smith of Vintage Rose Auctions and Appraisal Service at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 6, in the Assembly Room of the Rush County Courthouse.

This special interest program is sponsored by the Rush County Extension Homemakers and it is free and open to the public. Smith, of Knightstown, who is certified through the Certified Appraisers of America, will discuss how household appraisers can assist families in dealing with estates and liquidating their own personal property. She will share how families can work with an appraiser and auctioneer in dealing with items that prompt memories but knowing that we can’t keep them all.
