Kids needed for July 4 honor

RUSHVILLE — Do you have a child you believe would make the best “Miss Independence” or “Mr. Freedom” to represent the Rush County Chamber of Commerce in the annual 4th of July parade?

Organizers will be hosting a Mr. Freedom and Miss Independence of Rush County contest at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 25 at the Rush County Fair. Contestants must be between the ages of 5 and 9 years old, must be a resident of Rush County and must show there patriotic colors during the competition.

“We would like to invite anyone with a child in the 5 to 9 age group to come dressed up in their best red, white and blue outfits to the Rush County Fair at 6 p.m. June 25,” organizer Aaron Gurley stated.
