The Rush County Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.) will host an all –you-can-eat pancake, sausage and biscuit breakfast Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Rushville Police Department, 270 West 15th Street.
The cost is $5.50 per person (under the age of 3 is free) and includes a drink. Take-out orders are available and home or business delivery in the city is offered.
Monies generated by the breakfast will be used to fund a number of F.O.P. events and projects aimed at youth activities and organizations. In recent years, the F.O.P. has been an active sponsor in and hosted a “Coats for Kids” campaign and this year will be no exception The Coats for Kids effort provides new and gently worn coats for any area youth in need at no cost.
Law enforcement members along with members of the Rushville Fire Department also host a holiday party for kids in need.
To generate additional funding, earlier this year the F.O.P. also sold five-gallon containers of liquid laundry detergent, an effort that was deemed a success.
An ongoing fundraiser for the F.O.P. is the sale of various sizes of trash bags. The trash bags can be ordered from any F.O.P. member, at the RPD or during the upcoming breakfast.
Phone orders will also be taken for Saturday’s breakfast by calling (765) 932-2205.
