RCHS to celebrate Homecoming Week Sept. 16-21

---- — Next week, Rushville Consolidated High School will celebrate Homecoming Week 2013 with several activities for students and the community to enjoy. Event organizers are taking folks on a Time Warp with out of this world theme days each day.

The RCHS Homecoming varsity football game against Connersville will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the Lion’s stadium. The community is also invited to celebrate with and cheer for their Lions and fans during the Annual Homecoming Parade that will proceed from the fairgrounds, down Main Street to the Rush County Courthouse at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19. Join in the Lion’s rally on the courthouse steps and hear from players before they face Connersville.

Students will get in the Time Warp theme Homecoming spirit and have been invited to dress up next week, Sept. 16-20, on Waaaay Back Monday, In Between Tuesday, Went to the Future Wednesday and Opposite Day Thursday.

The school cookout will be at 12:25 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19. Powder Puff Football games for students will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19, followed by the parade.

Friday, Sept. 20, students will wear their black and red as they prepare to cheer on their Lions in the Homecoming game.

The RCHS Homecoming Dance will be from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Rushville Elementary School East.
