Garry Cooley, executive director of the Rush County Community Foundation, has announced that the application deadline for the Cycle II, 2013 Community Grants is 4 p.m, Monday, June 17.
“On behalf of our Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that the Foundation awarded over $39,000 in community grants last year. These grants, from local discretionary funds, brought the total of community grants awarded to non-profit groups in Rush County to over $780,000 since our first grant in 1994,” stated Cooley. “Our Board of Directors and staff are extremely proud of this accomplishment as these local discretionary endowment funds were established by Rush County citizens to help Rush County citizens. These grants would not have been possible without the generous financial support of those who established these funds along with our donors who continue to support the Foundation by contributing to these and other funds.”
“I want to encourage our local non-profits who have a need to contact the Foundation office for information about our community grant program,” stated Tony Laird, grants committee chairperson. “Terry VanNatta, our assistant executive director and C.F.O. or Garry will be glad to answer any questions and assist in guiding you through the application process.”
