RUSHVILLE — The Retired Senior Volunteer Program is currently selling white carnations tipped in green for their annual fundraiser for St. Patrick’s Day.

The carnations are $1 each with a minimum order of six for delivery.

Also available are vases that consist of five carnations with greenery for $10 each.

The carnations will be available for pick up Wednesday, March 13 at the ICAP office, 525 E. Seventh Street, Rushville (inside the Booker T. Washington Community Center).

Delivery is available Wednesday, March 13 and Thursday, March 14.

Payment can be made in cash or check and is due upon pick up or delivery.

Volunteers will deliver carnations directly to your home, business, family, friends or anywhere in Rush County.

Call Linda Wildey at 765-932-2863 to place an order. The deadline for ordering is March 7.

Green carnations make nice gifts to family, friends, shut-ins, local businesses, hospital patients and those that may be living in a nursing facility. The Retired Senior Volunteer Program is available to anyone that is age 55 years or older and is an experience of a lifetime. Volunteers use their life experience and job skills to strengthen their community and answer the call to their neighbors in need.

If you would like to volunteer a few hours a week, enjoy working with others and would like to make a difference in the community, call the Rush County ICAP office at 765-932-2863 to schedule an interview.
