---- — After an executive session Tuesday evening, the city council met at the council chambers.

The mayor discussed the senior games he attended at Flatrock River Lodge, graduation, the Memorial Day services and old business.

Farm Credit had their grand opening last week and asked if they might be able to give back to the community. As their legacy, they would like to try to raise $5,000 with multiple donations from others for a new pavilion. Their open house was very nice, the mayor commented.

Comprehensive plan and marketing met on the 27th and 29th. Brian Sheehan will give his abbreviated wrap up at the next council meeting. The mayor also told the council the surveys were wrapping up.

Fire Chief Chuck Jenkins handed out the year to date report of EMS runs. There have been 78 fire runs and 303 EMS runs this year. 48% of the transports are Medicare patients, 20% Medicaid, 17% private insurance, 14% self-pay and 1% Veterans Administration.

John McCain brought to the council some information about the TIF-Expansion of downtown.

The next meeting will be held Tuesday, June 17.
