Bomb threat in Knightstown
A number of Henry County schools were placed on lockdown and students sent home early Thursday after a bomb threat was received shortly after 1 p.m. at the Knightstown Intermediate School.
According to Cindy Hartman of the Indiana State Police Post Pendleton, ISP troopers were assisting the Knightstown Police Department, led by chief of police Donnie Baker, following the reported threat.
Multiple police canines were dispatched to the schools to search the area with the largest concentration of law enforcement presence at KIS. Students at Eastern Hancock, Knightstown High School and Tri High School were also affected by the threat.
