RUSHVILLE — The Rushville Republican is pleased to feature each of the Top 10 students graduating with the Rushville Consolidated High School Class of 2013.

We will feature two Top 10 students per edition until graduation.

RCHS graduation begins at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, in Memorial Gymnasium.

The RCHS Top 10 are James Brashaber, Michaela Colestock, Mikayla Dougherty, Kera Fenimore, Ryan Fogg, Taylor Gilbert, Kyle Hoeing, Thomas Steven Locchetta, John Riddell and Rosella Troyer.

Congratulations to these student leaders on this outstanding achievement!

Mikayla LeeAnn Dougherty

Parents: Brian and Kathy Dougherty, Morristown

Favorite teacher and why: My favorite teacher throughout high school has been Mr. Perin. I have enjoyed having him as a teacher because he makes me think about things and see things in a different way. He teaches us to have our own thoughts and ideas rather than the same thoughts as others. He is always willing to lend a helping hand and put in extra effort when needed.

Favorite high school memory: My favorite high school memory was going to semi-state in basketball my senior year. It was so much fun to share the experience with my teammates. The Cheerblock and fan support of the community were amazing.

Future plans: I will be attending the University of Indianapolis and majoring in physical therapy with my undergraduate in athletic training.

Kera Fenimore

Parents: Craig and Carol Fenimore, Rushville

Favorite teacher and why: Mr. Perin is an amazing teacher. He has helped me to think more analytically and find meaning in anything and everything. He has, by far, made the greatest impression on me.

Favorite high school memory: I loved getting to play jazz with the jazz groups at school. I’ve made bonds that could last a lifetime and played some awesome music while doing so. Thanks, Mr. Burgeson.

Future plans: I am attending Ball State University this fall and majoring in Japanese. In 10 years, hopefully I’ll be working as a Japanese to English translator.
