Comprehensive Plan Meeting

The city of Rushville would like to invite the community to attend the first Public Meeting for the Rushville Comprehensive Plan. This meeting will be held tomorrow, July 9, 2014 at 201 N. Main Street in downtown Rushville, starting at 6:30 PM.

JULY

WEDNESDAY (7/9)

• The Rush County Health Department will hold their next senior screening on Wednesday, July 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Rush County Senior Center. The screening includes weight, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, hemoglobin and blood sugar. Also, health education will be included during the screening program. Referrals to private physicians will be made when needed. This is available to all Rush County senior citizens at no cost. Any questions may be directed to 765-932-3103.

FRIDAY (7/11)

• Big Flatrock Christian Church would like to invite everyone to their annual pork chop supper on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Manilla Fire Department, State Road 44, Manilla, Indiana. Serving time will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $8. The Dorcas Circle II will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a beautiful, yellow hand crocheted summer cardigan or a hand made wooden shelf.

SATURDAY (7/12)

• Heart of Rushville Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market is open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Saturday through Oct. 11. Shop for fruit and veggies, farm fresh eggs, homemade jams and jellies, local honey, homebaked goods, and locally handcrafted items.
