---- — Two Rushville residents escaped serious injury in collision at the intersection of Fort Wayne Road and CR 300N shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday.
According to investigating officer Rush County deputy Josh Brinson, Sharron D. Creech, 61, of Rushville, was eastbound behind the wheel of a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee on CR 300N when failed to see a northbound 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Russell L. Case, 56, of Rushville and entered the intersection and struck the northbound vehicle.
The drivers gave the officer conflicting reports as to if the eastbound vehicle came to a complete stop prior to entering the intersection. As a result of the collision, both vehicles sustained extensive damage rendering them inoperable, although neither driver was injured.
Creech was cited for failure to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic.
Assisting at the scene were units from the RCSD, Davis Towing and American Owned Towing.
