---- — In recent weeks, Rush County EMA Director Chuck Kemker has hosted two classes regarding the recently completed county Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP). The class explains how and why the plan was written and how it affects the agencies incorporated into it.

The mandate addresses elements that are attributed to natural and man-made emergencies and disasters and the impact they will have on local agencies and offices.

Each of the effected agencies and emergency services in the county will or have receive a preparedness guide as a part of the CEMP and emergency contact numbers for services and that can be used as a base for training personnel within their respective organization.

According to Kemker, nearly 50 businesses and local and county offices are identified in the plan, as well as regional and state offices.
