---- — A month-long investigation initiated in August, by Indiana State Police trooper Travis Linville, was undertaken following allegations of a monetary theft from an unidentified Greensburg nursing home resident. The investigation culminated with the Sept. 30 arrest of 52-year-old Rushville resident Janey Meltzer.

According to information received by the Rushville Republican, a 70-year -old extended care facility (ECF) resident reported that several thousand dollars was missing from her bank account. According to Linville, Metzler was employed at the Heritage House Nursing Home, 410 Park Road, Greensburg, at the time the funds were reported missing.

Although innocent until proven guilty, Metzler is facing charges of theft and forgery. No bond information was indicated on the arrest report.

As a concern, residents and family members of residents currently residing at the Greensburg ECF who believe they too may be a victim of theft or forgery are asked to contact Linville at the ISP (812) 689-5000.
