• Crop Production Services is hosting the Think Big Days Friday and Saturday, Aug. 16 and 17 at New Salem Lion Club, Hwy 52, Rushville. Speaker Fred Whitford, Purdue, PARP Points at 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. Plot tours begin, 5 p.m. dinner, 8 p.m. Entertainment. • The Boys & Girls Club of Rush County will host a dance from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 for children K to 6. $3 per child. Club membership not required. Proceeds benefit club programs. Music by DJ Kevin Green.

SATURDAY (8/17)

• 5th Annual Walk for Alex and final annual 5K to help raise autism awareness. All proceeds to into an on-going endowment fund with the Rush County Community Foundation. Grants help aide families and schools in Rush County that have autistic children. Register 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Rush County Fairgrounds. Walk from 9:30 to 11 a.m. beginning and ending at the fairgrounds. Walk only $5; walk and T-shirt $15; family can walk and includes two T-shirts $25; each additional T-shirt $10. • Rush County Players Annual Membership Meeting and Hammy Award presentation starting at 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus in Rushville; serving fried chicken meal $12 each, payable at door, Membership meeting at approximately 6:30 p.m. Hammy Committee Co-Chairs, Whitley Griffin and Terri Sipes remind the membership and show participants that RSVPs are due by noon Aug. 12.
