The community is invited to join in the ribbon cutting and Grand Opening of The Gathering from 4-8 p.m. today, Jan. 11, at 245 N. Main St., Rushville. The community outreach organization is open and ready for you to stop by and have a cdup of coffee, cookie, cappuccino or hot chocolate. They also have plenty of teas and freshly made scones and biscotti are available. Take advantage of free Wifi while you
re at The Gathering. Bring a book relax and read or chat with a good friend. For your enjoyment, Larry Dimick will begin live music at 6 p.m. today.
In the back of the coffee shop, reNEW, a clothing store, is open the same hours as The Gathering, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. reNew offers clean, gently worn clothing. It changes weekly and keeps up with current styles. reNew accepts clothing donations on the days they are open.
On Jan. 27, The Gathering is showing the family movie, “Up,” at 3 p.m. Bring a canned good for the Rush County Food Pantry. If the kids want to wear pajamas that is fine. Bring a pillow or sleeping bag and enjoy the movie. Popcorn and drink are provided.
