Rotary hears about new meat market in town

Rushville Republican

---- — Shelly King hosted a very interesting program that featured Sam Gettinger from Gettinger Meats, one of the newest retail stores in town at the September 24th Rotary meeting, held in the Kenneth L. Earnest Conference Room at Rush Memorial Hospital. Gettinger Meats is located were the old drive-in restaurant used to be on south Main Street. Sam talked about the range of products and services their business offers, including custom cuts of locally raised beef, poultry, and pork.

In “brag-for-a-buck,” Jack Clarkson bragged that his great-granddaughter was chosen as Homecoming Queen. Kevin Snyder talked about his recent Florida vacation and losing his glasses in the Gulf of Mexico. Dr. John Williams bragged that he now knows where the Offutt Covered Bridge is located. He, Kathy Dean, and Rev. Jan Dimick worked at that bridge during Rush Fest. Bill Griffis, as usual, bragged on the Colts victory over the 49ers, and Sandy Fussner, Chamber Director, bragged that the entire Rush Fest weekend went well.
