“Inherit the Wind” tickets available

Show dates April 26 to May 5

RUSHVILLE — Rush County Players are entering the home stretch in their rehearsals for “Inherit the Wind,” to be presented Friday April 26, Saturday April 27, Sunday April 28, and Friday May 3, Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5.  Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for students. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8 p.m., with Sundays beginning at 2 p.m.

This will be a departure for RCP, as the show is being presented in their new home at 306 N. Main Street, Rushville. There is no traditional stage, and the show will be similar to an “in-the-round” production, or what Director Aaron Scholl refers to as “in-the-parallel.” Audience members will be seated on either side of the action, with an up-close view of the performances. This sort of staging allows for a much more personal experience, and eliminates the need for microphones, special lighting, or effects. This is theatre taken back to it’s roots.

Because of the special seating, only 50 tickets will be available for each performance. Cast members have already begun selling tickets, and they are going quickly. You can contact any cast member, or leave a message at 765-938-1711 with your ticket order.

Director Aaron Scholl, assistant director Erica Scholl, and producer Bonnie Miller want to note some changes to the cast, which includes:
