Krissi Williams is married to Brian Williams and is the mother of Morgan and Brandon. Williams is a 1990 graduate of RCHS and has lived in Rush County her entire life. She and her family have lived in Washington Township just north of Raleigh for the past 20 years.
After graduating from RCHS, Mrs. Williams obtained her degree in accounting and has worked in the public accounting field for her entire adult life. She is currently employed as an income tax specialist at Jane Smiley CPA in Rushville and holds a professional designation of Enrolled Agent.
Krissi is very passionate about her husband and children and has been a strong source of support and direction for her family. Williams comes from a large family. She is the youngest of five children, and her family has always been an important part of her life. Krissi is announcing her candidacy for County Council – District 1.
District 1 is in northern Rush County and includes Ripley, Center, Washington, Jackson and Union Townships and the towns of Carthage, Mays, Raleigh, Falmouth and Glenwood. Krissi is on the Republican ballot for the May primary election.
With over 22 years of public accounting experience, Williams believes that she has the financial experience and understanding to help guide the county council during these difficult financial times.
“I applaud our elected officials as they struggle to create budgets with less money available,” Williams said. “I feel my background would be an asset as the county council deals with short-comings of the county budget.”
Krissi has experience working with many businesses and farmers throughout the county and understands the needs of both individual and business taxpayers.
She feels her work in the public and private accounting sectors make her a prime candidate in evaluating the tightening budget areas, as well as interpreting and analyzing the current budget, and securing a sound budget plan for Rush County in the years to come.
