Trash pick-up

The Street Department will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11 in observance of the Veterans Holiday and there will be no trash picked up on Monday. Monday’s trash will be picked up on Tuesday.

Veterans to get free meal

The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Rushville is hosting a free ham and bean dinner for all veterans and their families. The one-day event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion, 113 South Morgan Street, Rushville.

Community breakfast

Phoenix Lodge #62 will hold a community breakfast from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Masonic Building located on Main Street above the old Princess Theatre. Free will donation. Meal includes: Sausage patties, biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and pancakes. There is an elevator for those that need it to get upstairs. We hope that all will come out and enjoy this time of good food and fellowship.

• Elementary School age student dance from 6-8 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Rush County. $3 per person. D.J. Kevin Green. Proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Club.

• Free live entertainment: Don Ford, folk & Americana singer, 6 to 8 p.m. No cover. All ages welcome. Knightstown Diner, 12 E. Main St, Knightstown.

• The Franklin County Democratic Party annual Fall Fundraiser at the K of C Hall on Main Street in Brookville. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20/person and can be purchased at the door. Annual auction starting at 7 p.m. with numerous items up for bid.
