MONDAY (9/23)

• Rush County Players holding auditions for this season’s opening show, Christmas in the Land of Oz. This is the highly anticipated annual “kids only” show which is being directed by Whitley Fisher. She is accepting auditions for ages Pre-K through seniors in high school. Auditions will be held at RCP’s new facility which is located at 306 N. Main St, Rushville, on Monday, Sept. 23, Tuesday, Sept. 24 and Wednesday, Sept. 25 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The show will be performed in early December. For questions you may call 765-938-1711 and leave a voice mail and an RCP Board Member will return your call.

• Milroy Monday Study Circle will meet Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Marti Mullis. Linda Maple will present the program.

TUESDAY (9/24)

• The Manna Mission will be serving ham, macaroni and cheese casserole, veggies, roll, desserts from 5 to 7 p.m. at Main Street Christian Church. This meal will be In memory of our friend, Bob Moody. Eat-in and Carry-outs are available. If you have any relatives or members of your churches that cannot attend the free meal, please feel free to get your loved ones a meal and take it to their homes.

• The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), East Central Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) and the Rush County ECDC will host SBA Community Day. The information seminar will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Rush County Economic & Community Development Corporation (ECDC), River Point Office Suites, 210 East US 52, Suite C, Rushville. Small business owners or those needing financing to start a business can talk with small business lenders about their needs. This is a free workshop. • Rush County Girl Scouts are gearing up for the 2013-2014 membership year. Troops are now forming at all Rush County Schools. The Rush County Service Unit is hosting a registration night from 6 to 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Rushville Dairy Queen, 1821 N. Main St. Each girl that registers will receive a free treat courtesy of Dairy Queen. Dairy Queen is donating 10% of their sales from 4 p.m. to close on Tuesday to Rush County Girl Scouts. These proceeds will stay local and help defray the costs of activities for the girls.
