INDIANAPOLIS — More than 120 people are registered to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association during the 2014 Central Indiana Muscle Walk to help pay tribute to — and raise funds for — children and adults served by MDA in the Indianapolis area.
“We want to encourage people in the Indianapolis area to give back to local families affected by neuromuscular disease,” MDA Executive Director, Sarah Stackert, said. “By supporting the MDA Muscle Walk event on March 22, people can make an immediate difference and help raise awareness and funds for research and vital services benefiting families served by the Association.”
The annual Central Indiana Muscle Walk is scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday March 22, 2014 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. For registration information, visit www.musclewalkmda.org/centralin, or call the local MDA office at (317) 824-4800.
Expected at the walk are Eli Lilly, Home Health Depot, Cook’s Fabrication, Butler’s Dance Squad, Two Men & a Truck, Lowe’s, Superior Van & Mobility, Greenfield FD and many more.
Last year, MDA Muscle Walks nationwide raised more than $6.2 million, and more than $10 million has been raised since the program started in 2011.
