During Tuesday’s Rushville City Council meeting, it was announced that a local Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) road improvement project will begin Monday and impact westbound traffic in and around the downtown area on West U.S. 52 until November.
Signage is currently in place announcing the road closure for the phase one of the project on Second Street west from Main Street to Cerro Gordo.
The second phase, expected to begin later this year, will result in the closure from Cerro Gordo to CR 125W.
The road improvement effort, including the placement of new sewer lines, will include new sidewalks and is anticipated to take nearly two years to complete.
