Milroy 5K - Run for the Arts nears

---- — Members of the Milroy Zeta Tau Sorority Chapter will host a 5K Run for the Arts in Milroy beginning at 7:30 a.m., April 26.

Monies generated from the event will be used to support community projects in the rural town.

First place (male/female) finishers in five classes will receive medals for their efforts. The five classes: Class 1 runners, Class 2 seniors (participants over 55 years of age), Class 3 (adults 18 to 55 years of age), Class 4 (teens 13 to 18 years of age), and Class 5 (children 12 years and younger).

Runners will take to the course at 7:30 a.m. with walkers to follow 30 minutes later at 8 a.m.

The course will begin and end at the Milroy United Methodist Church, 114 North Pleasant Street, Milroy, and continue east on Church Street to Walnut Street. Participants will follow Walnut Street North (CR 12W) to SR 3 and make a return trip to the MUMC and the finish line.

Early registration is recommended: $15 for adults and $11 for children ages 5 to 17 and this includes a T-shirt.
